A road MAP for every teacher

Do you use NWEA Measures of Academic Progress® (MAP®) assessments? Would you like to supplement your MAP data with automatically generated individualized learning plans based on assessment results?

If so, we’ve got you covered.

By combining our strengths with the power of MAP, Compass Learning® offers a complete solution to your diagnose-prescribe-instruct-report needs. The Compass Learning/NWEA partnership leverages a unique application that enables MAP assessments to communicate student performance information directly to the Compass Learning management system. The system, in turn, automatically develops targeted, individualized learning paths to help students master critical content.

      Here’s how it works:

      • The student takes a MAP assessment.
      • Using a unique “wizard,” schools import MAP data into the Compass Learning management system.
      • The system makes the data actionable by translating it into differentiated learning paths based on each student’s RIT ranges at the sub-goal level. Each learning path contains Compass Learning reading/language arts or math instructional and practice activities specifically chosen to help students move from their current RIT ranges into the next.
      • Embedded scored learning activities, quizzes, tests, writing assignments, and offline resources provide frequent formative monitoring and assessment.

This powerful, multidimensional assessment solution answers the “now what?” quandary so often associated with assessment data.

MAP and Compass Learning provide real-time data to identify the areas where a student needs to improve. Automatically generated individualized learning paths make the work of designing instruction much simpler and personalize the learning experience for each and every student.

So “Now what?” becomes “Here we go!”
